Chambres Esprit de Jouy: two adjoining rooms, one with en suite shower, the other with en suite bath, one with a king size four poster bed, the other with an authentic Louis XVI canopy bed.

Chambre Jaune: with its golden wall fabric and the splendid Louis XV furniture, and alcove housing the double bed and an important 17th century Flemish painting. En suite bath.

Chateau de La Barre is a little less than 2 hours drive from Paris, by the motorway, exiting at La Ferté Bernard in direction of St Calais. Turn right off the D1 2km prior to reaching St Calais. Easy parking in the extensive castle grounds.

By train
Alternatively, take the TGV train from Paris to Vendome (43 minutes) rent a car at the station from Avis or Europcar, and drive 25 minutes to St Calais, then 2 km onto the D1 in direction of La Ferté Bernard, turn to the left into the castle property.

By airplane
Alternatively, fly Ryanair from London Stansted airport to Tours, rent a car and drive 55 minutes to St Calais and onto Chateau de La Barre.
