外观 － 夜间 Situated in the centre of Madrid, Gran Meliá Fénix is one of the most elegant hotels of the Spanish capital. It was opened in 1953 and completely renovated and refurbished in 2002 to offer a high level service to the guests.

Nowadays the hotel building has seven room floors and different public areas elegantly decorated, like the restaurants or the bars, offering all the facilities that are expected from a luxury hotel.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, in the Plaza de Colón square, alongside the Villa cultural centre, the National Library and the National Archaeological Museum. It is also in a few minutes walking distance from the Retiro park and from the most important museums of Madrid: El Prado, Reina Sofía and Thyssen.
The hotel is 13 km far from the Barajas airport and only 300 metres from the Recoletos railway station.

All of the rooms are equipped with air conditioning with individual controls, heating, complete bathroom with hairdryer, mini safe, mini bar, radio, satellite TV, direct dial phone in the bedroom and in the bathroom, Internet connection and terrace with views on Paseo de la Castellana avenue or Plaza de Colón square.

From the Nuevos Ministerios station guests must take the underground until the airport stop, or they can also take a regular bus that leaves from Plaza de Colón square to the airport.
