Obertraun is approximately 1 1/2 hours drive from Salzburg, south-east through the lakes of the Salzkammergut.
From Linz, travel 2 1/2 hours south-west.
From Graz, 3 1/2 hours north-west.

By train
There is a railway station in the village.
Change at Attnang-Pucheim on the mainline, Vienna to Salzburg.

By airplane
Obetraun is accessible from Salzburg, Linz, Vienna, Graz or Munich.
